Story
Well, it's all over. Here I am with training partner Jayne(she's the one with lipstick still intact!).I was indebted to her for slogging round the track week in week out, encouraging me and meeting me many Sunday mornings at 7am for long runs. She is always positive and this attitude paid off, as we both finished in good times and with a smile on our faces. The marathon was as always a great experience, crowds of runners and supporters every step of the way.The best supporter of all being my husband and coach! who popped up at various points to offer words of encouragement. The weather was verywarm for running twenty six miles, perfect for having a picnic! But you get the weather yiou get and my attitude was to get on with it and get plenty ofwater as I ran. I can't say it was easy but I never doubted that I could keep going and pushed myself to my limit to try to get under three hours. I ended up twenty seconds over, but I am happy with that. It's the fastest I have ran for seven years. The training was worth it and I am really grateful for this health and fitness given to me.I Iove encouraging others too so if you fancy running next year then I would be more than happy to help! Thanks for all of my support and to the many generous sponsors.
