I am so excited to join Awareness Through Dance on this amazing journey!  As a member of Alma NYC Dance, it is going to be incredible to join forces with UK dancers to change the world.

I visited Africa in 2010 while performing on a cruise ship, and while being a tourist I knew I wanted to go back.  But, I knew I wanted to return to make a difference.

What I'm doing:

This June, I will be joining 14 other dancers to travel to Nairobi.  We will be delivering medical supplies, visiting orphanages and hospitals, as well as hosting dance workshops for schools.  We will also collaborate with local professional dancers to perform for the village, creating a life-changing bond through dance.

After our time in Nairobi, we will travel to Kilimanjaro to trek up to the peak.  This is in aid of Giving Africa, a charity that works to promote education by building schools in areas of Africa where there is very little.  We are supporting the construction of The Bethel School in Gourcy, Burkina Faso.
