"I beg you take care of our old buildings"
- William Morris, Fellow of The Society of Antiquaries
William Morris bequeathed his much-loved Kelmscott to the care of The Society of Antiquaries.
The Society recognises the paramount need both to preserve the cultural heritage and to create wider access to the unique experience that Kelmscott offers as a historic site in a magnificent country setting and as a place of inspiration for learning, benefits that Morris himself most valued and that sit at the heart of the Society's charitable objectives today.
Why we need your help?
As an independent charity we receive no statutory help for our work and our income is not enough to cover our ongoing commitments.
In the next few years we will be doing our very best to secure Kelmscott Manor for our visitors to enjoy for years to come.
We need to raise up to £4 million to secure its long term future. By giving a donation you can ensure that future generations can share in the experience of William Morris's much loved home.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a real difference.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
