Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you will have seen over the last year or so I have de-chubbed somewhat. The main reason for losing the odd pound was geared around my kids. Fred and Harry have just turned 5 and 3 respectively and it was they who slapped me on my sedentary lifestyle and beer-fuelled belly 14 months ago with the accompanying words 'fat tummy'. So I went to the gym and got myself into some sort of shape. It was following a chat with my sister - who works in a Family Protection Unit in the West Mids - that it really brought home to me what my kids have and what many others don't. So I thought it was time to do my little bit by testing my new found 'fitness' - a very relative statement - and with my sister's words ringing in my ears I looked to see what the NSPCC could offer me in terms of a challenge.
To this end I will be doing the Step Change 2010 on Sunday 7th February - 38 floors and 1,037 steps of pain - as I race - again another very relative statement - up the Gherkin and I would like you to sponsor me. By doing so the NSPCC will be able to continue with their activities to end cruelty to children.
A no brainer for those with kids I hope you will find that little bit of cash to make the process of me going an intense shade of crimson all the more worthwhile.
Thank you in advance.
Keith
