Story
In June 2014 I took part in a charity skydive in aid of Crohns and Colitis Uk, why well because I could. You see, Crohns and Colitis UK mean a lot to me, which is why I chose that charity. For those who don't know, I became very ill 4 mths after the birth of my youngest. I became so poorly I spent days on the sofa, unable to eat and not able to care for the 2 babies properly.I had friends taking my eldest to school and bringing her home again where she would then help care for me and her sisters. After 4 weeks of severe illness, I was eventually diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and put on loads of tablets to help get better. It was Crohns and Colitis Uk that provided all the information about this disease. They provide the hospital with information packs and have a wealth of information and support available online or over the phone and were always ready to help if they could.
So I've decided now is the time to repay them for all the help, support and information they gave my in my times of need, so please give generously and help this wonderful charity continue providing help where its needed for everyone who suffers with IBD and their families as well as continuing their research to find a cure for IBD.
In my search for support in the last few months I have came across an amazing group of people who have helped me realise I am not alone and the problems I still experience are normal. #GetYourBellyOut not only provides support but aims to raise awareness of IBD through the use of social media campaigns and I feel proud to be part of such an amazing group and raising much needed funds for CCUK.
