Last year I had to call on the aid of mountain rescue (Tayside Mountain Rescue) in Scotland when stuck on An Stuc! I'm eternally grateful and so on 19th September I will be doing the South Glen Shield Ridge - that's seven munros in a day - alongside my fellow mountain lover Rachel McAllister.  Yes, i'd do this walk for fun anyway but the 'Munro Challenge' for Scottish Mountain Rescue offers an opportunity to give a wee bit of support and acknowledgement to a vital and underfunded charity of volunteers who risk their lives so we can explore Scotland.  People who walk, climb, play and bike in Scotland please give a little and friends and family who are pleased Barney and I are safe I'd be so grateful if you could show your thanks with a small donation.  

Oh and seven munros in a day is not to be sniffed at! Whaaaaaaa......
