Katrina's Wobbleberry Challenge page

So in a moment of weakness (or madness!) I have signed up for something I never, ever believed I would do, considering my level of fitness and capability (but I think you'll agree, for a very worthy cause).
Hannah Francis, a young event rider, bravely fought bone cancer, while creating this amazing charity. Inspired by her determination, we are riding to support the wonderful legacy she has left behind; Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony.
We, The Wobbleberries, have pledged to take part in a BE80 in 2017; battling our own inner fears, nerves and doubts to challenge, overcome and, with Hannah as inspiration, do something we never dreamed possible.
I am worried about all three disciplines - remembering an accurate dressage test; I've never ridden a test in my life! Completing the showjumping without falling off will be a challenge; I haven't showjumped at this level ever! But it's the cross country that scares me the most - galloping up and down hills not to mention all the scary solid obstacles in between!
Luckily I'll be riding a wonderful pony, Walt. He's Frances's reliable old pony club pony. A total legend and very experienced - he'll know what to do better than me so at least one of us has a clue! Of course Frances now thinks we're going to be "eventing buddies" and has planned what sounds like a boot camp for me!
Please donate and help me hit my £500 target for Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony before my chicken feathers really start sprouting!
Named after the small soft toy given to Hannah when she was diagnosed with cancer, Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony became an official charity on 29 March 2016 having already raised more than £100,000 for worthy causes.
Although Hannah is no longer with us in person, the equestrian world has pledged its allegiance to support this charity, which aims to fund raise in aid of bone cancer research to help seriously ill people, ultimately #kickingcancersbutt. Hannah also set up the charity Willberry’s Wishes, which makes the horsey dreams of young people suffering from serious illnesses come true.
