Story
Hello hello hello!
On Sunday 17th July I'm going to be walking 5 miles around Bushey Park (which is somewhere near Richmond). Partly because I'm a little bit mad but mostly because I'm doing it for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
MND is a really horrible disease. It robs you of your physical faculties but leaves your mental ones intact. So you can do the crossword, but someone will have to hold the pen and write your answers for you. And the real kick in the teeth is that there's no cure for it, just medication that might delay the progression.
The MNDA are a really awesome charity, along with funding essential research into this disease they also provide support for MND patients, including providing carers and helping pay for equipment that helps sufferers.
This may seem like an odd cause for a 25 year old to fight for, but there is one very good reason for me to hate motor neurone disease; my Granddad had it. So this walk is for him, and for all the other MND sufferers, past, present and future.
It's time to defeat MND!
And now for some drabble;
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for reading this. Thank you for sponsoring. Thank you for helping me fight MND :)
