Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As we know, 2012 was a fantastic year for Britain and particularly British sport. I was privileged to take part in one of the world's most exciting Olympic and Paralympic Games to date, during which time I achieved my ultimate goal of winning an Olympic gold medal in the double sculls. Two years on from that glorious summer, it is time to take on a new challenge.
On Sunday 13th April I will be running the Virgin Money London Marathon on behalf of International Inspiration (IN). This special charity, chaired by Lord Sebastian Coe, was born from a promise he made in 2007 'to reach young people all around the world so they are inspired to choose sport'.
Using the inspirational power of London 2012, IN aims to INvolve, INclude and INspire children, young people and marginalised groups around the world through high quality sport and physical education, providing them with opportunities they may not otherwise have had.
By taking part in the marathon I hope to raise awareness of this important work - IN really is helping to change lives, so please donate and support this fantastic charity.
