Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2001, at the age of 16, my big sister Michelle was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a form of cancer. During her treatment she was supported by nurses from CLIC Sargent, a charity that supports families affected by childhood cancers. They made weekly visits to our house or school to take blood samples, saving her many visits to the hospital. After 6 months of chemotherapy Michelle was given the all clear.
Over the years Michelle has taken part in a number of events to raise money for CLIC. It is now 15 years since she went into remission and to celebrate she, along with myself and a number of friends and family, are doing the South Coast Challenge. This is a 100km walk along a section of the south coast of England, taking place over the course of 24 hours in August. People can choose to walk 23km, 50km or the full 100km. I have chosen to join Michelle for the full 100km!
I am aiming to raise £400 to help CLIC Sargent continue to fund research and support families like ours and children like Michelle. Any donation or offer of support is very much appreciated and if you would like to join us on the walk please get in touch with myself or any member of my family, the more the merrier!!
