Story
As many of you will be aware, last year in Manchester, PC Nicola Hughes and PC Fiona Bone lost their lives in a gun and grenade attack. They were serving & protecting the community, in a job that they loved.
From 1st December 2013 to 4th April 2014 I will be running 2 miles EVERY day for 125 days to raise money for the PC Nicola Hughes Memorial Fund. The charity's aim is to provide opportunities for the future to children who have lost a close family member through violent crimes. They look at providing grants or services to aid learning and employment prospects.
Anyone who knows me well enough, will know I am NOT a runner & I have actively avoided anything to do with running until now. Until recently I could not run more for more than a few minutes at a time, so this event will be the biggest of any challenge I have personally set myself. I hope that you can show your support to both the charity & myself by making a donation, no matter how big or small, every penny will be appreciated.
