Story
Brighton Marathon 2014 really is the ultimate challenge for me. I have only ‘officially’ been running for a year. I have participated in many races over the last year, but never thought that I would ever decide to run a whole marathon. Actually running 26 miles in one go!
Last year I met a great man; Chris Hawkes who set up Born Ready Runners after hearing a heart wrenching story on the radio about a little boy who lost his life to Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. BRR began raising money for The Neuroblastoma Children's Cancer Alliance (NCCA).
This year I have been privileged to run a few races for BRR and have now been giving a great opportunity to actually use my running ability (if I can call it that) to actually try and make a difference to the families and children affected with Neuroblastoma.
So with that, I found a fantastic running coach, because I decided that if I was going to do this marathon, I was going to do it well and give it everything I have. I have been running for miles and miles every week, putting in hours and hours of training in this gruelling weather in hope that I can raise a fantastic amount of money to support the NCCA and finish the marathon in a respectable time.
So please sponsor me and my amazing team because making a difference really does matter us.
