Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. A friend from my scuba club passed away from this disease, his name was David Ellison. He was the loving husband of Anne, and father of Samantha and Caroline.

I was a nurse for over 25 years and looked after patients and their families suffering from pancreatic cancer.

I had already booked to swim  5 kilometres on 12th June in Lake Windermere when Anne asked if I would like to enter on behalf of The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. I was delighted to accept the challenge. I have taken no payment towards my entry choosing instead to give my time freely.

Please help me to help the fund fight this disease and give what you can. All donations gratefully appreciated.

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.
