For nearly 10 years I've owned my beautiful boy ........he's my world, he gives me a reason to get up every morning when walking is an issue...........

3 years ago I suffered from a prolapsed disc which required emergency spinal surgery to keep me walking , St George's came to my rescue unfortunately 6 months later the same disc prolapsed again but this time severing my ciatic nerve on my left hand side, which means my foot drops when I'm tired and I have restricted feeling down my left leg. I thought I'd never ride again but I'm a stubborn old bird and giving up wasn't an option. 

I enlisted the help of a mctimnoey chiropractor who re aligned me throughout the course of this last year but my riding began to suffer until I wasn't able to ride at all this time last year. My spine was compacting down on itself but thankfully a surgeon took on my case and injected into my facet joints in February. Well since that day I have just got stronger and more able every week. 

I have been able to start jumping again something I never ever dreamed possible , I've competed in my first dressage test in over 6 years and I've been able to hack confidently around open field and fun rides , walk trot canter and gallop...........my boy has accepted me being different in my seat and how I have to ride now , being gentle and respectful around me at all times and restored my trust in my own ability and our bond .
