Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I must be mad, signing up to take part in a BE80 in 2017, given that I last competed at affiliated events over 25 years ago!  My mojo went ages ago and I haven't left the ground deliberately for years... now I have to steal the children's 14.2  called Sherkin and persuade him to look after me through training and competing.  At least I won't be too far off the ground!

This is such a great idea, so much enthusiasm for the event already, mostly from folks like me, slightly older, plumper and less fit than they'd like to be, putting themselves well outside their comfort zone, achieving something out of the ordinary all for the fabulous Willberry Wonder Pony charity which funds vital research into bone cancer and fulfilling horsey dreams for cancer sufferers.

In addition to raising the money , I am doing this in memory of the lovely Frances Dow, a fellow pony club mum, a tetrathlon mum, who lost her long and hard-fought battle with cancer in January 2016, such a brave lady.
