I am taking part in the Great North Run for the first and only time. As well as a personal challenge I want to help raise money for a really good cause, Pete's Pancreas Project. When the father of a local family was diagnosed with a pancreatic cancer, they set about fundraising to finance research into an area about which little is known to help other patients and their family faced with a similar diagnosis.
