Joy and Terry's Wobbleberry Challenge

Wobbleberry Challenge · 23 September 2016
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Willberry Wonder Pony Charity was started by a young event rider, Hannah Francis, who suffered from bone cancer. She started the charity to help with research into bone cancer and also grant equine related wishes to seriously ill people. Sadly Hannah passed away on the 1st August 2016, aged only 18, however her legacy lives on - www.willberrywonderpony.org
So, what is a Wobbleberry?
A challenge has been set for 'middle aged, wimpy' horse riders to train over the next twelve months and then take part in a BE80(T) Competition by the end of the season 2017, whilst trying to raise money along the way.
For non horsey people reading this, BE80 involves competitors (me!!) taking part in an official event - three disciplines, Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country all in one day.
To give you an idea how I feel about this....I don't do competitions. They bring me out in a cold sweat!! I have never done dressage and cross country scares the life out of me. I'm getting on now and despite the excess padding, falling off hurts and I don't bounce as well as I used to. To top it off, I am doing it on my boy Terry. I love him dearly, but to say he has a mind of his own is an understatement, as anyone who has met him will know. So we both have a lot of hard work and training ahead of us.
Having followed Hannah's inspirational story, I have decided the least I can do to help is to push my fears aside, put my brave head on and invest heavily in Tena Lady!
100% of donations will goto the charity. Any costs incurred for necessary training and equipment will be funded by myself.
So please donate whatever you can afford for this brilliant cause.
Thank you...Joy & Terry xx
