Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Following my success with U.K. Ironman 70.3 last year I have decided to contest the 2013 Ironman U.K. triathlon on 4th August 2013 in Bolton.

This event will be contested by some 1,500 pro and amateur atheletes over the following distances;

- Swim- 2.4 miles

- Cycle- 112 miles

- Run- 26.2 miles

I am aiming to finish in around 12 hours, but will have up to 17 hours to be officially classified as a finisher.

This event is going to take 40 weeks of my life for training, 1 week at a training camp in Lanzarote and the obvious 12 - 17 hours of pain and suffer through the event.

I have also elected to match the highest single donation by any individual.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

Palliative Care East supports the Louise Hamilton Centre at the James Paget University Hospital. The centre helps carers, patients, families and friends who find themselves affected by a life-limiting or progressive illness. We need to raise £150,000 a year to do this. Thank you for your help.
