We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have recently taken up road biking and this year have completed a 50 and 60 mile bike ride, both of which left me with sore quads and a numb bum!

This time, I want to go one up on it and aim to complete 100 miles in under 7 hours +/- one puncture. The 60 mile ride was a big push for me and I figure since the 100 mile will be even more of a challenge I would like to put my effort towards fundraising for an amazing cause.

I am joining my JustGiving page in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital. It is a world class hospital that provides first class care day in day out. Specifically, the money I raise will go towards The Beatrice Octavia Iris Smith Brighter Future Fund. Beatrice was diagnosed with Restrictive Cardiomyopathy a rare disease of the cardiac muscle and was treated by the excellent cardiac specialist teams at GOSH but sadly passed away on 24th February 2014.

Beatrice's mummy Leigh has fought relentlessly to raise money and awareness of the amazing work completed at GOSH. The money raised by the Smith family via JustGiving is going towards funding the final portion of a new Heart and Lung Bypass Machine.

Thank you for reading my story and thank you so much for donating whatever you can.
