Story
You can support my efforts to reach the North Pole by giving money to the Louis Dundas Centre for Children's Palliative Care at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
I am very keen indeed to help raise funds for this inspirational charity that my friends Ruth and Bruce Dundas have set up in memory of their son Louis who died in 2008 aged four from a brain tumour. Louis had a terribly short life but his courage and tenacity were inspirational to many many people including me.
Louis in his own inimitable way achieved more in those short years than many of us will in our lifetimes, so in his honour, and in memory of an extraordinarily brave boy and his equally inspirational extended family please, please give generously!
Ruth and Bruce have committed to raise £6 million to create and sustain the Louis Dundas Centre over ten years. This will be a world-class centre of research, teaching and practice in palliative care for children and young people.
Extraordinary as it may seem this service provison is almost non existent in the UK today.
The centre will be based at the world-leading Great Ormond Street Hospital and any money donated via this page will be ring-fenced specifically for setting up this centre.
In 2009 you helped me raise a whopping £60,225 on my last Aconcagua climb for this amazing charity. Let's see if we can match that amount this time. Please dig deep and donate as much or as little as you can.
THANK YOU!!
