Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and welcome to your chance to win a custom built bicycle whilst helping the vital work of Cancer Research Wales - the nominated charity of The Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor Professor Delme Bowen.

I have challenged myself to ride to and from work every day for a week in April 2012 - approximately 200miles in total. Since I am not a regular bike rider this will be a real challenge - but one I'm ready for, knowing the money I raise will be put to very good use, to benefit us all.

I will be riding a bike generously provided for me by Cardiff Cycle Workshop - a community enterprise in Ely, Cardiff, which specialises in repairing and restoring unwanted bicyles; in so doing, they provide an innovative recycling service and support and promote sustainable transport.

Your donation will enable the talented and dedicated scientists at Cancer Research Wales to continue their valuable work, seeking a better understanding of all types of cancer and developing improved methods of treatment. For that, they and I are most grateful.
