Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I would be very grateful if you could donate to this very special cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.

So please dig deep and donate now.

During the First World War Forty thousand Service men lost limbs or eyes serving their country and protecting our nation. Unfortunately amputation techniques were in their infancy, artificial limbs primitive. Unemployment was high and 90% of our returning war heroes joined the queues of the unemployed. It was time for change and during this time the limbless gathered together to help themselves and in 1932 BLESMA (British Limbless Ex-Service Men’s Association) was formed.

BLESMA to this day still strive forward lobbying governments to achieve improvements in pensions, standards of artificial limbs and in the provision of suitable motor transport and employment opportunities. Residential homes have been opened, health and well-being services initiated, sporting activities undertaken and innovative research commissioned. All of this is costly and with the help of fund raising we can all help the Ex-Service men and woman live life to the full.

To help raise funds and awareness on the 17 November 2013 4pm until 12:00 midnight I will be carrying out a lone vigil in what is believed to be the UK’s most haunted house “The Cage!” I will be supported by team formed from “Swadlincote Paranormal Investigations,” “Mysteria Paranormal Events,” and “UK Shadow Seekers Paranormal Events.”

The loan vigil will be interactive giving everyone at home the chance to join via Livestream, Skype and “KTPF Community Talk Show” Online and On Air! http://new.livestream.com/plans

During the night all rooms in the house will be monitored by you and the support team via cameras that will be strategically mounted in all rooms, covering all areas of the house. If you see any activity you will be able to get in touch with the team via Livestream and tell me which area you want me to go where you have seen activity.

To make the experience more challenging and interesting I will be taking part in live experiments, one of which has never been attempted before!

The Experiments

  • I will be past life regressed alongside the world’s most haunted painting “The Anguished Man.” In the attempt to connect with the entity that resides within the painting. We have limited information about the origins of the painting and we hope to encourage the entity to join me and give us clues from his past.

  • I will be blindfold for 1 hour so my senses will be heightened.

  • The Cage is very haunted and we will try to encourage activity by placing various trigger objects throughout the house.

  • Automatic writing.

  • A dog will be encouraged to enter the house to gage its reaction in particular rooms.

  • All windows in the Cage will have blackout screens and the “The Cage will be in total darkness in the hope we can encourage more activity.

  • The end of the night I will be joined by the support team so we can carry out a final Victorian style séance to finish off the evening.

We encourage you to organise your own parties at home so you can share this unique experience with your friends and family. During the night we will ask you to make a donation however small to BLESMA via my “JustGiving” account. All donations will go directly to BLESMA.

History of the Cage

The Cage in St Osyth is a property that ticked all the boxes for Vanessa Mitchell and her baby son when she was looking for their dream home. Unfortunately Vanessa was forced to leave 3 years later due to extreme paranormal activity.

A plaque on the wall of the cottage gives a chilling clue as to why the property is very haunted. The Cage in Essex dates back to the 16 century and was used as the village prison to hold people accused of witchcraft.

It’s most famous inmate was a lady called Ursula Kemp, a midwife who was accused of being a witch, she was held here before standing trial at Chelmsford in 1582.

Vanessa knew straight away that the house didn’t feel right when see moved into the cottage, in over 3 years Vanessa experienced a whole manor of paranormal activity. Cushions were thrown off the settee, door handles rattling and doors slamming, Coke can flew off the table, TV would change channels and turn itself off, bathroom taps would turn themselves on. EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recording in Vanessa bedroom of a young boy looking for his Mamma. Two friends even witnessed spots of blood appearing into carpet at the entrance hall. Lots of clearly visible activity.

Vanessa started to notice that her baby son would look round when something attracted his attention and start laughing. Vanessa watched her son and she was convinced that he had actually seen something. The final straw that made her leave was when she saw a man standing next to her baby’s cot. She decided this was the wrong environment to bring up a small child; it was bad enough for her to accept and wasn’t prepared to bring up her son in this disturbing environment.
