We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

I’m running 31 miles in 31 days - it might not seem like a lot but I’ve gotten extremely unfit these days! The idea is to document my progress on my Instagram page @mhsupport4dads and highlight the effects on my mental health and how I’m managing this around work and fatherhood.

Beyond that, I really wanted to raise money for a great cause for male mental health and with suicide being the biggest killer in men (more than cancer and heart disease!) the work that CALM do is immense. See more below if you’re interested in finding out what they do...

Thanks for all support and donations, and if you want to do your own 31 in 31 that would be ace. If I can get 9 more people and we can get 310 miles done that would be amazing! Drive each other on and all that...

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Our goal is a life less miserable for you, your friends, your family and for all men.
