I am raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. My mum is a cancer survivor, and a close friend and colleague has recently been diagnosed for a second time. One in three of us will get cancer at some point in our lives, and if and when that happens, I know I'd like to be able to rely on the support of an organization like Macmillan, which provides practical, medical, and financial support to any cancer patient who needs it.

I will not be taking on any great feat of physical endurance or crippling terror on this occasion - I will simply be dressing up like an idiot with my fellow colleagues, and paddling a boat for a few hundred metres. If anything, my efforts are incidental. This is just an opportunity to highlight the work that Macmillan do, and hopefully raise a little bit of money for them.

My target is modest, so please, no amount is too little, and all is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
