Story
At the start of this year, I was asked to participate in a charity cycle ride across Vietnam and Cambodia by 'Coolair Equipment Ltd' in aid of ‘Challenge Cancer UK'
I accepted the challenge as both my wife and myself have lost friends and family to this awful illness. Whilst also seeing other people come out the other end and survive.
My wife Rachel has over a number of years invested her time in fund raising for national cancer charities whilst also carrying out scientific research, which I have complete admiration for. It has now inspired me to do the same, and raise money to help people on the cancer journey.
The Cycle across Vietnam and Cambodia will entail a distance of 450kM’s over a 6 day period in energy sapping hot humid conditions.
In addition to cycling across Vietnam and Cambodia I will also be taking part in the following two events:
Velothon Wales a 140kM sportive where I will have to tackle the notorious ‘Tumble Climb’!!!
To mix things up I will also be entering the Birmingham Half Marathon which I vowed I would never do again after participation in this for the first time last year.
Please donate generously as this is a very worthwhile cause and the team target of £50,000.00 will be split between 10 national cancer charaties.
