Story
Right so, my 82 year old hilarious Asbach quaffing sniggering Papa died on January 25th this year & to raise money for Cancer Research UK I took part in the London Spartan Race (Sprint version). For those of you who don't know about The Spartan Race, its kinda like a hardcore 5k obstacle course. Underground pipes, mud & ice pits, barbed wire cargo nets, swimming through clay bed rivers & carrying mortar bags up hills are the norm. Here is a link to the race details - http://www.spartanrace.com/london-obstacle-racing-spartan-sprint.html
Papa fought for years with this disease & he never really showed any signs of slowing down until about a month prior to his death. Loads of people aren't that resilient and its charities like this one that fight to give people chances that they otherwise would never get.
Anything you can afford is awesome. I completed the race and it was quite possibly the physically hardest thing I've ever done. Check me pics! I'll upload more once the website updates the race details.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Thanks for reading. Rock on.
