We raise funds at Nottingham to transform lives.

Story

I am a second year Architecture student at the University of Nottingham. I am doing a unique studio unit where a group of self-funded students design and build a school in Limpopo, South Africa.

It is one of the deprived parts of the world and the current school is inadequate and dangerous. The current site only has one small classroom, which is 32m2. Not only do we plan to upgrade the existing classroom, but also include an infant/baby room, sick bay, office, secure store, a kitchen/eating space, separate toilet facilities and landscaping.

All the money raised will go directly to the costs of materials and outsourcing logistics for the project. We aim to raise £38,000 as a group, £1000 individually. We pay for our own flights, transport and accommodation during the build.

Thank-you for your time.
