Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am proud to be joining Heavy Metal Truants 2015 cycling for an extremely worthwhile cause. Nordoff Robbins UK tirelessly works to support vulnerable teenagers with a range of challenges such as autism, depression, mental health problems and life-threatening illness using music therapy.

This is my first ride, and I will be joining a tiding of our country's finest metallers working together to make a difference. And it will be a hell of a ride - three days and 160ish miles on a saddle, nothing in comparison to what these teenagers experience on a day to day basis.

Whilst I am very active, I haven't used these particular muscles before, and will need spurring on by your encouragement. Please help me to support this amazing cause by giving whatever you can afford. All of your donations go straight to the charity.

Please make sure that you select 'Gift Aid' when making your donation if you can, as it increases the value of the donation by up to 25% with no extra cost to you.

Thank you, Joe

Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.
