Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I work for the Dementia Wellbeing Community Team in Hywel Dda, and hope my efforts will raise a good sum to support people living with dementia.
Did you know that anyone could be affected by Dementia? The biggest risk factor is getting older, but one of the best ways to reduce your risk is to be physically active. Regular brisk walks (150 mins a week) or jogging (75 mins a week) and strength exercises twice a week is something to aim for. So while raising money I am also reducing my personal risk!
This is my first marathon attempt, delayed by COVID twice! I say attempt as I can't lie, I don't know if I will finish on the day as have since found out that if you are too slow you get "mopped up" by a bus! (I am slow) HOWEVER! If the bus gets me, I pledge to complete the remaining miles on my treadmill or local canal path.
