Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Challenge: A virtual walk from The Princes Trust Southampton centre to the neighbouring centres across the U.K. The virtual route is approximately 881 miles, which is around 1,762,000 steps, just over 10,000 steps a day for each member participating. The challenge runs from Monday 18th January to Friday 12th February. Along the way there are smaller races and rewards for the first team to reach certain totals.

Team “Happy Feet” is made up of the Empress Penguin aka Joanne Greenhill, the Royal Penguin aka Charlene Bellamy, The Chinstrap Penguin (because of beard) aka Alan Robertson, The Chick aka Ashleigh-Jane Brennan, The King Penguin aka Steven Devlin and Pingu aka Gary Coull.

It is a team made up of frequent tea goers, lift takers and biscuit munchers. So when this
opportunity arose to become a little fitter, we all tried to jump at the chance.

We shall walk on the pavements, walk on the roads, walk in the gym, ignore the lifts,
whatever the cost maybe. We shall walk through the hills, from the furthest car park; we shall never give up!
