After fighting cancer twice with my last round of operations & treatments behind me in 2012 I decided I wanted to do something positive this year to help others.

 

I'm climbing Mount Snowdon with over 50 others, mainly women, on 1st June 2013 to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

 

We all have had/or still have cancer and we met on a Breast Cancer internet support site... Our first face to face meeting was this February 2013.

Our founder, and inspiration, Karen Goodwin attempted the climb in 2011 with terminal cancer and a collapsed lung, but had to turn back due to adverse weather conditions. Unfortunately, she passed away in January so didn’t get chance to realise her dream.

As you can imagine, none of us are at peak health or fitness, but we are determined to reach the summit for her and Macmillan.
