Story
I have been working very closely with the Blue Marine Foundation on their project to help restore the population of the Native Oyster to the Solent, but that's only one of their great projects.
Funds raised from this ride will also go towards a project that aims to help reduce the plastic pollution in the Mediterranean Sea - a subject that anyone who has ever seen my Facebook page will know I'm quite passionate about - as well as two other ocean conservation schemes.
Last year BLUE organised a London to Monaco bike ride - lasting 10 days and averaging 86 miles per day - which raised over £250k for their projects.
I know I'm a little nuts, but even I'm not crazy enough to take that on (this year!) but I really want to be involved though, so on Sunday 17th September I will be joining them on the first leg of their journey, from London to Folkestone. This will still be my biggest ever physical challenge at just over 71 miles and almost 1100m of vertical ascent, so I would really appreciate any sponsorship that you are able to give to this very worthwhile cause as encouragement!!
