<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">I have decided to raise money for Surrey SANDS as a thank you to them for supporting my friend, Ana.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Ana and I became close friends in 2008 when we had our boys who are only months apart in age.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We went through our second pregnancies together in 2010, but whilst I was blessed with Amy, only weeks later Sophia Grace was born sleeping.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Ana was and still is inspirational in her strength to cope with such a loss.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I know that the support she received and still receives from Surrey SANDS is fundamental in helping her make sense of it and I credit them for their part in bringing Ana back to us.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">The network of groups allows mums and families who have gone through the same tragedy to share their grief and to learn how to take positive steps in moving forward. There is also a group for expectant mums to help them cope with the absolute fear that the same tragedy may happen again.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Thankfully, Freya Rose was born in July this year, happy and healthy. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This would never have happened without Ana’s resolve, her family and friends and Surrey SANDS.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">So, I’m going to try to run my first 10K (without stopping to walk!) in memory of Sophia and to raise some much needed funds so that other mums and families can be supported by Surrey SANDS in the future. </span></p>
