Event: Brighton Half Marathon 2013, on 17 February 2013
We protect butterflies, moths and habitats to save threatened species from extinction

Story

I'm running the Brighton half marathon to raise money for the Sussex Branch of Butterfly Conservation. I'm really impressed with the work they do. Their reserve at Park Corner Heath is the last stronghold for the Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary in the South East. Across the county there are leading conservation work that has increased the numbers of several declining populations which may otherwise have become locally extinct. All money donated will go to fund this work, making the Sussex countryside a more enjoyable place for people.
