Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

18 months or so ago I came across the Wobbleberries, a group of 'slightly older' riders who have either taken a break from riding or who have never ridden at all before, all aiming to train for and hopefully complete their very first BE80cm One Day Event.  The inspiration behind all of this was a young lady called Hannah Francis who set up the Willberry Wonder Pony Charity.  For those of you that have not heard of the inspirational young lady behind it all, you can find out more on the links below and I'm sure you'll then understand why I wanted to take part in this challenge and raise money and awareness for this cause......

My own personal challenge started at the end of 2017 when I came across the Wobbleberries, however my journey never really got off the ground when I injured myself in January 2018.  So it's not gone quite to plan and the timescale I set myself of a year to complete the challenge didn't happen!! However we are now back up and running, if you are following our facebook blog (Jo & Sonic's Wobbleberry Journey) you will be up to date with all our training and competition news, and we now have a date for our BE80 - 11th August at Horseheath Horse Trials!!

Having not jumped a fence for over 15 years, Sonic & I have been slowly building our confidence together to feel comfortable at 70cm.  We have now also completed our first few 80cm showjumping rounds and even managed a Pony Club 80 ODE.  This time last year, I would never have thought we would have got to this point - I was hoping to find confidence to be able to complete a 70cm ODE!  Those that have been following my journey will know how much we have been through together to get to the point of even thinking about being able to complete this.  But then it wasn't supposed to be easy!!

I hope that you enjoy following the final part of our journey, any donations no matter how small will be greatly appreciated as this is the reason we are doing this in the first place.

Thank you for your support!
