Story

We are embarking on the challenge of 13 miles, but we are doing it together, and doing it for Hugh. We thought the Cardiff Half Marathon would be the most appropriate one to do, because to all those who were fortunate to have known Hugh, he loved everything Welsh, even to the point that he said to everyone he was Welsh and even spoke in a welsh accent!

He also loved everything to do with the countryside, and was passionate about his hunting, shooting and farming, so we thought why not run for the Countryside Alliance.

Since Hugh's death, I have been wanting to do something, but have not had the time or strength as of yet. However, I now feel this year is a good year to get on and do something worthwhile, but also a challenge at the same time.

He was the best brother I could ever have asked for, and I miss him every second of the day. He was lovable, funny, and a complete joker, teasing me all the time, but most of all highly intelligent when it came to farming; you could see that when he would sit down and discuss the next weeks work with Tom and Dad at breakfast time.

Please support us, as this really does mean a lot to all of us running - Hugh being my brother, a cousin to Clare, Lucy, Emma and Ginny, a little (pretend) brother to Hayley, a friend to Fiona, and I know he would have loved Dave.

Thank you again,

Jess, Clare, Lucy, Ginny, Emma, Hayley, Fiona and Dave
