Story
I describe my Channel Challenge as part childhood dream, part midlife crisis. It all started a couple of years ago when after multiple rounds of unsuccessful IVF, I decided I needed to do something big with my life. I wrote a book called The Pursuit of Motherhood; I became a trustee of the national charity Infertility Network UK; and I started to train to swim the Channel for families who do not have the children they long for and children who do not have the families they deserve.
On this JustGiving page you can support the valuable work that INUK do to support couples struggling to conceive. Infertility is a silent epidemic that causes huge sadness and shame. Please help me to help INUK make this a better world for everyone going through it.
I am also fundraising for the Lyric Hammersmith, the theatre I run in London, and in particular for our work with children in care. You can learn more about this at www.justgiving.com/Jessica-Hepburn/ And if you want to read more about my personal story and my Channel progress please visit my website and blog at www.thepursuitofmotherhood.com
