Story

Thank you for coming to my JustGiving page, unfortunately there was mishap in the week leading up to the race which resulted in me having to get a lift to hospital in an ambulance. After a few stitches and some rest in the up and coming weeks I am going to recover fine and I will be undertaking another Ironman soon.

I will keep you posted on my plans as soon as I have decided what I am doing.

Thanks

Jeremy

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Francis House Children’s Hospice offers the families of terminally ill children and young people a respite from their role as carers and gives their children a loving home from home. The patients are all suffering from illnesses for which there is no known cure. Whilst medical science can offer the necessary relief, Francis House gives support, comfort and care in the form of:

·           Skilled nursing for children in a homely, happy and secure place

·           An essential break for parents and for the rest of their families

·           Friendship, encouragement and relief, enabling the whole family to return home refreshed

·           A flexible service to suit the needs of the family, including home support and bereavement care.

·            A lifeline by just being available day or night

It is for this cause that I have signed up to the Zurich Ironman on the 15 July 2012. The Ironman is a huge test of endurance and consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon to finish off.

The course starts on the banks of the Lake of Zurich with the swim, before taking off in the bike up three mountains and some breathtaking scenery. The final leg of the course is around the same lake, finishing not far from the start point.
