Jennifer's Wobbleberries Challenge page

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have signed up for the Wobbleberries Challenge, which is aimed at those of us who have never competed in a BE event before to have completed a BE80 course in Autumn 2018. The idea is to do so while fundraising for the Willberry Wonder Pony charity.
This will involve completing a dressage test, a showjumping round and a cross country course (jumps at up to 80cm) on the same day, without making any glaring errors which would result in being eliminated and also without falling off! My partner for this challenge is my lovely horse Dee. Neither of us have ever competed in anything like this event so it will require hard work and plenty of training.
There will be several challenges for me to overcome, horse and rider fitness are going to have to improve but the hardest part for me is overcoming some serious confidence issues. I have steadily avoided jumping over the last few months and had less access to support to get us to go out and have a try. So now it is time to push us back out of our comfort zones to undertake the challenge and raise awareness (and money) for the Willberry Wonder Pony charity.
The idea of Willberry as a charity came about when young event rider Hannah Francis was diagnosed with bone cancer. Sadly, she lost her battle recently, however the charity is dedicated to supporting vital research into osteosarcoma and to grant equine related wishes to very ill people and their families. More information can be found on the charity's website:

During the challenge I will have several smaller hurdles to overcome and will have a blog set up to follow my progress, as part of the Wobbleberries Challenge team.
Thank you all for your support, Jen
