In August last year, I donated a kidney to my husband Bob.  The operation took place at the Freeman Hospital and the care we received through the whole process was second to none.  To say thank you for giving Bob a new lease of life, some friends and I are running the Great North Run to raise money for Ward 38 - the Transplantation Ward at the Freeman Hospital. They are amazing people who are saving lives every day! - THANK YOU!!
