Story
In October this year I'll be doing Tough Mudder 5k.
As well as being cold, dark, wet and muddy, it's got the added bonus of some pretty tough obstacles (including climbing up two-storey high cargo nets, joy!). And as if that's not bad enough, I'll be doing it with some MRM colleagues, most of whom are half my age and twice as fit!
So, why am I doing this I hear you ask??
Last year my colleague Phoebe's mum was diagnosed with a rare condition that left her with a life changing brain injury. This resulted in her being hospitalised for three months and subsequently treated in a rehabilitation centre - the Daniel Yorath House - for over five months, supported by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT).
Their work helped get Phoebe's mum back home and living semi-independently. And to thank them, and do what we can to help them continue the great work they do, MRM has chosen BIRT to be our charity of the year.
I would be very grateful if you could also help by sponsoring me in this challenge to raise funds for such a great cause.
Thank you!
