Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This event is inspired by the story of Peter Msongelwa, who is an A-Level student in Zimbabwe and walks a 30-mile round trip to school and back everyday. Peter's commute is a 6-mile walk to school which aims to raise money for the Charity Makomborero; Makomborero is a small Charity that works to help young people in similar situations to Peter, to relieve poverty and advance education in their native Zimbabwe. The money raised by Peter's commute goes directly to fund A-Level Scholarships for students living in some of the most deprived parts of the country and helps these students move on to further education and have a brighter future ahead. Makomborero has already supported 15 students through their A-level studies and they are all now either at university on in employment.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, I would be grateful for any donations as it believe it is going to an amazing cause and directly has a positive impact upon the lives of many young people.
