Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR) is run by Club Triumph & takes place every 2 years, each time raising funds for different worthy causes. This year Guide Dogs for the Blind is the selected charity.
The Run is from Knebworth, Herts to John o' Groats to Land's End & back to Knebworth in just 48 hours covering 2000 miles. This tests the cars reliability as well as the crews stamina & resourcefulness.
I have supported this event for a number of year's & have turned out in the wee small hours of Sunday morning to offer support & assistance to the entrants as they reach the Bristol check-point at Gordano Services. This year the Check-point for the Bristol area has been changed to Westonzoyland (WZL), although Gordano may still be used for re-fuelling & comfort stop.
It is the 50th anniversary of the event (1966-2016) & over 160 vehicles were initially entered, although some have had to pull out for various reasons, it still remains the most ever taking part in the history of the event. It will also be the first time I have actually taken part as an official entrant, along with Clive Goodwin & Jim Sawyer who have both completed the event previously. We will be driving Jim's 1972 Triumph 2000 Mk2 saloon which used to belong to my son. The thought is quite daunting & exciting at the same time. so please donate whatever you can & help make this the most successful of all the runs by raising the most ever monies for the Guide Dogs charity.
