Story
On Saturday 13 September I will be climbing Scafell Pike as part of a team of 45 people raising funds for Caudwell Children. We are supporting the Howarth Timber Charity of the Year Programme and, as a team, are aiming to raise over £9,000 from this trek.
On top of this, I'm part of a team of five running the Yorkshire Three Peaks on Saturday 31st May! This is a distance of 25 miles and includes climbs of 5,000 feet. The route will encompass Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent and we aim to complete the course in around 5.5. hours.
Why are we braving the Yorkshire and Cumbrian weather, risking painful blisters and battling some of the the toughest sheep around to climb these amazing peaks?
Because 100% of the amount received by Caudwell Children goes directly to help children like Cameron. He has Cerebral Palsy and successfully applied for a new trike. Although Cameron is unable to walk his new trike means his physiotherapy is much less painful.
