Story

Thanks to all that have sponsored means a lot training going well 30 miler yesterday.

Thank-you to all that have donated so far. Many thanks

For those of you who know me, you probably know I'm reasonably fit however to do 100 miles in a day on bike in 6 hours is going to take a lot of training!  But what you will not know is why I'm doing it. I'm doing on behalf of a friend who lost her sister. Her sister lead an inspirational life and the love that she had for fundraising means I will not let anything stop me completing this challenge

My friend's sister was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000, but instead of battling against it she decided to just live with it, and with this decision she lived for an incredible 7 years.

I  have 6 weeks to train for the event and even though I know I will hit some pot holes on the way I will complete this challenage.I have some of my friends coming along to join me on the ride to offer support and encouragement.

I'm  raising money for The Forever Friends Appeal’s RUH Cancer Care Campaign. They aim to raise £5million over the next 4 years towards the cost of building a pioneering new Cancer Centre for the RUH in Bath. My friend's sister wanted The Forever Friends Appeal to be focused on Cancer Care as their primary campaign, and I hope that my donation will help transform care for patients and their families.

I hope this will be the first of many fundraising races I complete, and I hope you will support me by donating your pennies. Even if it is only a couple of pounds, I know a lot of my friends are HM Forces and understand you don't have a lot of money to spare, but every penny will count.

My cycle is about living life to the full, something that I have learnt over the years.
