Unfortunately, my good friend Adam’s dad, Steve Burne, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in October 2017. 

Since then, Steve has decided to dedicate his remaining time to building something that will have a positive impact on people for years to come.

Following countless fundraising initiatives by family and friends, spaces at Ronald McDonald House, Manchester, have been converted  into new larger sized family rooms, so we can help keep families together, close to their children in hospital. 

The charity have decided to name these the Steve Burne Rooms, in recognition of his service to the charity over the past 15 years.

On 9th September, I’ll be taking part in the Salford 10k, to raise funds for the running and maintenance of the rooms, as well as a memorial area for Steve.
