Bath Half Marathon 2018 · 4 March 2018 ·
Hello Family, Friends and generous others,
I am running the Bath Half Marathon for Olivia Kershaw in March. Now, as most of you know running is not something I have done much of recently but this is a cause so dear to me that it gets me training on these cold winter evenings!
Olivia is just over a year old now and absolutely beautiful. She has had a hard start because toxoplamosis found its way to her before she was born. The parasite caused inflammation in her brain and eyes. As a result of three months of intensive care, three brain operations and a long list of other procedures Olivia has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, blindness and other afflictions.
Twenty of us are running the Bath Half in order to raise money for Helen House, a charity that provides palliative care for terminally ill children and will be supporting Olivia. Together we aim to raise an ambitious £21000 for such a deserving charity. They plan to use much of this funding to pay a music therapist to support the children that use this service.
More information on Olivia's story can be found on our team page at:

If you want to to follow my running progress you can follow me on the Strava running app!
Thank you,
James x
p.s The date of the Bath Half is just after our first baby is due, so just in case Susie is in labour, I will book in a half marathon in the first half of 2018 and promise to keep you all posted!
