Toynbee Hall works alongside people facing poverty and injustice to build a fairer and happier East London. Based in the East End of London since 1884, we aim to tackle unfairness and ensure everyone has an equal chance to thrive. You can donate at https://www.toynbeehall.org.uk/donate/

Story

Hey,

Thank you for clicking on the link to sponsor me. I've been trying to get into this Marathon for 3 years now (ever since I came to London) and I'm hoping to do it under 3 1/2 hours. I've been training hard since the start of the year and have even stopped drinking to try and get a good time!

Please see the information below (under read more) regarding donating through Just Giving and Toynbee Hall (the really worthwhile Charity I am raising money for).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

I am running the 2010 Virgin London Marathon for Toynbee Hall, a social welfare charity based in the East End of London, that is celebrating its 125th Anniversary.  The money that I raise will be used to support Toynbee Hall's work over four broad areas, Advice, Community Learning, Financial Inclusion, and Wellbeing.  For more information on these programmes, please visit www.toynbeehall.org.uk/projects

I hope that you are able to support me in running the London Marathon, but also to support Toynbee Hall's innovative and practical projects that help some of the poorest communities in the country.
