Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have always wanted to cycle from Glasgow to my family's home on the Isle of Skye, just outside Portree.
I always put it off and over time I became less fit and it looked like it was going to be put on hold for the foreseeable future.
My friend Louise has always suffered from Cystic Fibrosis and after a tough couple of years she was added to the Transplant list.
She endured everything the disease could throw at her. She escaped the jaws of death a number of times and struggled on, surpassing everyone's expectations.
She finally reached the day of her double lung transplant. She is now recovering slowly but surely.
Her unbelievable bravery has inspired me to be brave too.
My friend Ricky and I have decided to cycle the distance between Glasgow and the Isle of Skye on April 6th 2013.
Cystic fibrosis is an awful, life-destroying disease and if we can raise even a pound for the Butterfly Trust to keep supporting all the brave people who fight this illness everyday, we will be proud.
Everyone please dig deep and donate as much as you can so you can help people like Louise.
Thank you.
