Story
Dear All
I know this is quite short notice, but I am running a marathon on the 15th April - The Black Dog marathon in Bungay. If you have seen a bloke wearing dodgy lycra gear and an even dodgier head band running up and down the River Lea towpath recently, then it may well have been me training!! I am a massive hypochondriac at the best of times, so I am happy to complain to anyone that wants to listen (i.e. no-one) about chafing, blisters, pins and needles, sore calf, sore knees, groin strain and sore nipples - I think this just about covers it.
On a serious note, I am raising as much money as I can for the CATS foundation. Tay-Sachs is an awful disease that affects children. Not many people in the UK have heard of it. A friend of a friend has set this charity up after his daughter was diagnosed in 2011. Currently without a cure, any money given through this just giving site will go to the CATS Foundation to help combat the disease, provide help and support for suffererers and for their families. I cannot think of a better cause so please be generous. I know times are tough and that you may have recently donated to Sports Relief and to fellow marathon runners. All charitable causes are good ones, but sometimes the smaller charities such as this one can get ignored.
Please have a look at the website so you can learn more and please make a donation.
